Our Stretching Class Schedule: Three Classes a Week

Our stretching classes are KINSTRETCH, and KINSTRETCH has been a core part of how we train at Motive Training for years. It changes how people move because it trains the joint itself: how far it goes, and how much of that range you can actually control.

We run three in-studio classes a week, each a full hour with its own focus. Every class opens with CARs (slow, controlled rotations of each joint), spends most of its time on one or two regions, and builds from holds into loading. That last part is what makes new range last. A joint you can only reach passively is range you have borrowed; a joint you can load at the end of its range is range you have built.

The weekly schedule

Monday, Lower Body and Spine

6:15 to 7:15 pm, with Brian Murray

This class covers everything from the feet up through the spine: ankles, knees, and hips, then the spine that connects them. If your hips or lower back feel like the limiter in your training or your workday, start here.

Thursday, Upper Body and Spine

5:30 to 6:30 pm, with Brian Murray

Thursday shifts to the shoulders and arms, along with the spine. Shoulder range is one of the first things a desk job takes, and this class works on getting it back and making it strong enough to keep.

Sunday, Restore

10:15 to 11:15 am, with Brian Cassady

Restore is the slower class. The intensity is lower and the pace gives you more time in each position, which makes it a good fit for a heavy training week, a stretch of travel, or simply a body that wants more attention and less effort that day.

Where to start

Pick the class that lines up with what feels stiffest, or the one that fits your week. If you can make two, Monday and Thursday together cover the whole body. The beginner’s guide to KINSTRETCH walks through what a first class is like, and how KINSTRETCH works covers the method behind it.

Pay what you can

Cost should never be the reason someone skips this work, so the classes are pay what you can. There is no membership, no fixed drop-in fee, and no punch card to track. Twenty percent of everything that comes in goes to FarmShare Austin, paid out once a year. If you have Wellhub, you can take the classes through your Wellhub membership.

You can book on the stretching classes page, which carries the live schedule.
